How do I register for the conference?
Visit our website at https://conference.cna.ca/, then click the “register” tab.
How much does it cost to register for CNA2026?
Registration pricing varies based on your registration category. Please have a look at our website for specific pricing details for members and non-members. The CNA offers special discounted pricing for our members.
How do I register and use my company/organization’s membership for CNA2026?
During registration, you can select your member organization from a drop-down list.
For the member fee to apply, the registrant’s organization must be a CNA member at the time of the Conference. If the organization’s membership has lapsed (i.e. membership payment has yet to be received by the CNA before the start of the Conference), the registrant will need to pay the difference on-site before credentials will be issued.
Does my company or I have to be a member to register for CNA2026?
Membership is not required for CNA2026 event registration. However, members receive a special discount rate for most CNA events.
I have registered, but my company membership discount has yet to be applied. What should I do?

After completing the registration, will I receive an email confirmation?
Yes. If you have not received your email confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder before contacting our Events team at conference@cna.ca.
Is there single-day registration available for CNA2026?
No, we do not offer single-day registrations for CNA2026.
Is there a deadline for registration?
The early bird registration deadline is January 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM (EDT). Regular registration will stay open until March 31, 2026, at 5:00 PM (EDT). After this date, late registration will be available until the capacity is reached.
I am with the media. Are complimentary media passes available?
If you are part of an accredited media outlet or a content creator, please email our Communications team at communications@cna.ca to request a complimentary pass to CNA2026.
If I am unable to attend the event, can someone substitute for me, or could I receive a credit for a future event?
No, unfortunately, we cannot offer a registration credit for a future event.
Will I receive a receipted invoice for registration?
Yes, when you register and pay the registration fee, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to the delegate’s email address as provided on the registration form. Your confirmation email will include a PDF receipt attached.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for CNA2026 registration(s)?
Things happen, we understand. If you need to cancel your registration, email our Events team at conference@cna.ca.
Cancellations for all categories are permitted until March 27, 2026, 5:00 pm (EDT). Cancellations received by the applicable deadline will receive a full refund, with a fee of less than 25% of the administrative fee. Cancellations must be received in writing by email to Golden Planners (cna@goldenplanners.ca). No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the applicable deadline stated above or for no-shows. Substitutions from the same organization are permitted until April 14, 2026, 5:00 pm (EDT) and must be submitted in writing as above. Substitution requests require full contact information for the new attendee, along with the name of the attendee they are replacing.
What is included in my registration fee?
Your full conference registration entitles you to a comprehensive package, including access to all plenaries and sessions, admission to the Trade Show, participant materials, and more. We’ve designed this package to ensure you get the most out of your CNA2026 experience.
Full conference registration entitles delegates to the following:
- Access to all plenaries and sessions (except for the pre-conference Seminars, which are an additional charge)
- Admission to the Trade Show
- All participant materials
- Opening Reception and Trade Show Reception
- Conference breakfasts, lunches and breaks
- Access to the Conference and Trade Show mobile app
What are the registration fees, and are there any discounts available?
Early bird registration ends on January 31, 2025. Discounts are available for students and groups of five or more attendees. Please visit our registration page to know about the different rates.
Can I register in person at the event?
No, all registrations are conveniently done online. We encourage everyone to register early to receive the early bird rate, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Can I register on-site, or is pre-registration required?
While we highly encourage pre-registration to ensure your spot, we will accept on-site registrations based on availability. If you decide to register on-site, please arrive early to allow time for the process and to secure your access to sessions.
Are there group discounts available if we have more than one person who wants to register for an event?
You can register as a group, with a maximum of 10 people, but please note that no group discount is available.
How do I pay for the registration?
You can pay using a credit card, or check.
Are travel costs and hotel accommodations included in the registration fee?
Hotel accommodation and travel costs are not included in the registration fee. Delegates are responsible for their own accommodations and travel costs. Please check the conference CNA2026 Venue and Accommodation webpage for hotel information and booking details.
Which hotels are available for me to book my accommodations?
We have arranged special hotel room rates at several hotels within walking distance of the Rogers Centre. The special hotel room rates are available until March 15, 2026, and it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book your hotel from the CNA2026 Venue and Accommodation page.
Who attends CNA’s Annual Conference and Trade Show?
The conference attracts a diverse audience that consists of industry professionals, policymakers, regulators, suppliers, international delegates, scientists, and academics who play a crucial role in the nuclear energy sector.
Is there parking available at Rogers Centre Ottawa?
The parking nearest to Rogers Centre Ottawa is a 2-storey underground facility providing 730 spaces. It features three entrances located on Daly Avenue and Nicholas Street South. The three exits are located on Nicholas Street South. Entry points to both the Rogers Centre Ottawa and the Rideau Centre shopping complex are located on both levels on the north and west walls. There are four handicap spaces per level located on the north wall near the Rideau Centre entrances.
A parking ticket will be automatically issued upon entry. When you are leaving there are four ways for you to pay.

Where and when can I get my CNA2026 badge?
You can pick up your badge on-site at the registration desk on the day of the event.
Your badge is your ‘ticket’ to all conference activities (sessions, exhibitions, meals, and receptions). It must be worn at all times and is not transferable. Please ensure your badge is visible at all times during the event.
Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes, we understand the importance of staying connected. Free Wi-Fi will be available throughout the event
Does the Conference have on-demand or live-streaming viewing available?
No. Only in-person participation is available for this event.
What is the dress code at these events?
The dress code at CNA2026 is business casual for all participants. Conference rooms can get chilly, so we recommend layers for your comfort.
Is there going to be a CNA2026 Conference and Tradeshow mobile app?
Yes, there will be a CAN2026 Conference and Tradeshow mobile app for full conference participants to download. You will find the program, information about our sponsors and exhibitors, and other relevant details in this mobile app. Please find more details on our website on how to download the mobile app.
I’ve explored the CNA2026 conference site, but I still have some questions – can I talk to someone?

What meals are included with the Conference registration?
Full conference registration includes canapés at the reception on April 28, breakfast, lunch, two coffee breaks, and a dinner reception on April 29. On April 30, breakfast, lunch, and a coffee break are also included.
What if I have a food allergy?
If you have a food allergy, please include this information in your registration. We can accommodate food allergy requests if submitted at least one week before the Conference. After that deadline, we cannot guarantee that food allergies will be accommodated.
Please note that we cannot assure that no cross-contamination has occurred during the special preparation of an allergy-free meal. We also ask that delegates take responsibility for managing their own preferences and intolerances.
Will the CNA share post-conference recordings of the panels and speakers?

How do I become a sponsor or an exhibitor?

Where is the CNA2026 Tradeshow located?
The Tradeshow will take place at the Rogers Centre, on the 2nd floor, in Canada Hall 2 and the Parliamentary Foyer.
Who will be exhibiting at the Tradeshow?
The Tradeshow will feature 80+ exhibitors showcasing their organizations. For a complete list of exhibitors, please take a look at our floor plan for company descriptions.
How can my company apply for a booth space at CNA2026?
If your organization or company is interested in participating in the CNA2026 Tradeshow, please contact our Events team at conference@cna.ca for more details.
How many exhibitor booths are available at the CNA2026 Tradeshow?
There are 86 exhibitor booths, including 8 in the Parliamentary Foyer and 78 in Canada Hall 2. Please visit our Tradeshow webpage to learn more about the different companies and organizations participating as exhibitors.
What is the square footage of one booth at the CNA2026 Tradeshow?
One booth measures ten by ten feet.
Can I share my booth with another company?
No, each booth is assigned to one company.
How many exhibitor staff passes do we get with our booth?
The number of exhibitor staff passes depends on the level and type of sponsorship your company opts for. For more information, please download the CNA2026 Sponsorship and Exhibitor Package. If you have any questions, you can email our Events team at conference@cna.ca.
Is there going to be a CNA2026 Conference and Tradeshow mobile app?
Yes, the Conference app will be available for download before the Conference. You will find the program, information about our sponsors and exhibitors, and much more in this mobile app. During the Conference, you will be able to access speaker information and other additional features.
Which devices can the app be viewed?
The CNA2026 Conference and Tradeshow mobile app works on both iOS and Android devices.

Will alcoholic beverages be served during networking events?
Alcoholic beverages will be available during the Opening Reception and the Tradeshow Reception. Each delegate will receive drink tickets when they pick up their badges in person at the conference registration table.
What types of special accessibility services are available at the Rogers Centre Ottawa?
The Rogers Centre Ottawa is designed to meet the building codes, standards, and accessibility requirements. The Rogers Centre Ottawa is equipped with the following:
- Accessible stalls and individual/family stalls are located on all meeting levels.
- Ramps that have a slope of at least 1:13 (one foot (30 cm) in height needs 13 feet (396 cm) of distance for the incline).
- Tactile and braille signage is available throughout the facility to identify all rooms, including meeting rooms.
- All entrances are accessible and contain Automatic door openers.
- Accessible interior parking on P1 and P2, with an entrance to the Rogers Centre Ottawa.
- Guards are installed under escalators, stairs, and ramps for added protection.

How do I communicate accessibility needs to Rogers Centre Ottawa’s management?

What does the CNA2025 Student Participation Program (SPP) entail?
The Canadian Nuclear Association annually awards around 100 students from Canadian post-secondary education institutions to attend the CNA Annual Conference and Trade Show. The program also includes grants to cover transportation and accommodation costs for out-of-town students.
The CNA Student Program offers a fantastic opportunity for selected students to attend three exciting days of networking with senior executives, learning from expert speakers and creating important business connections. It is an excellent opportunity for students interested in a career in nuclear power to learn about significant industry developments, future trends, and career opportunities.
Who is eligible to apply?
You must be at least 18 years old or older, currently residing in Canada, and a registered student studying at the time of the event at a recognized Canadian post-secondary education institution.
How do I apply?
Students can submit their applications through a written essay or a video essay. Each student can only submit one type (written or video) of the essay. Learn more about the application process and competition guidelines on our Student Program page.
What are the prompts to choose from?
You can find the four essay prompts on our Student Program page. Entrants are required to choose only ONE (1) prompt for their application.
What is the deadline to apply for the Student Participation Program?
Applications open on December 22, 2025, and will close on January 30, 2026, at 5:00 pm EST. Applications received after this date and time will not be considered.
What are the submission guidelines for the written or video essay?
- Written essays must be 300 – 500 words in length, and video essays must be between 1 to 2 minutes. Submissions that do not meet or exceed this requirement will receive deductions in points.
- Only one entry is permitted per person.
- You must use only one (1) of the prompts for your written essay. Please state the prompt at the beginning of your written essay. This will be part of the overall word count requirement.
- All essays must be the student’s original work, whose name is listed on the submission form. Plagiarism and the use of generative AI will result in immediate disqualification.

How do I submit my application?
Submissions will be accepted online only. All applicants must review the contest’s official Terms and Conditions before submitting. To submit your application, visit our CNA2025 Student Program webpage, complete the registration form and upload your written or video essay. Applications will be accepted in both English and French.
If you submit a video essay, please upload your video to YouTube and set the visibility to “unlisted” so that the CNA team can access it. Include the YouTube link in your application form. Instructions on uploading your video can be found here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407.
How are essay submissions evaluated?
Your written or video essays will be evaluated by an internal committee of CNA staff, who will be looking for sound ideas and innovative responses. Each submission will be judged based on the following factors:
- Originality/ Creativity
- Effectiveness in responding to the prompt
- Clarity and concision
- Moving/ Impactful
- Passion and Presentation
- Following the rules
We also love passion for the industry and the future of nuclear technology, a dash of personality and the basics of good presentation and writing skills.
Are there other selection criteria?
Applicants must submit the following documents along with their essay:
- A photo of your school ID that clearly displays your name and the name of your academic institution.
- A copy of your Letter of Enrollment (also referred to as a Certificate of Enrollment or Verification of Enrollment) from your academic institution, confirming your eligibility to attend. This letter must clearly state that you are currently enrolled in the Winter term of 2026. Please be aware that your school may impose limitations on your attendance if you are not a student in good standing or for other reasons deemed necessary by the institution.
When will the winners be notified?
Winners will be notified in February 2026. Students who are not selected will still have the opportunity to register at a discounted student rate. Conference registration offers three student pricing options: Early Bird, Regular, and Late. We recommend registering early to take advantage of the lowest rates.

What will happen to the winning written and video essay submissions?
The ownership of any submission remains the property of the writer or creator. Still, entry into this opportunity constitutes the entrant’s permission and consent, without compensation, with or without attribution, for the Canadian Nuclear Association to use, reproduce, transmit, post, distribute, adapt, edit, and/or display the submission.
